Chapter 1: The bad start Eve’s alarm went off. She quickly hit the snooze button and turned around in her bed. She was still tired which as surprising because normally she was awake at 6:00 on the dot. But there was something wrong with today. She didn’t know what it was, but it didn’t seem good. As Eve got dressed, the morning sun shone through her window. Eve actually hated sunny days. They were good sometimes, but after a while, all she wanted was a day to walk around in the rain. That was just the kind of person she was… Eve walked downstairs when she remembered it was her day off. She thought about going back to bed, but she was already dressed so what would be the point? She decided to take a morning walk instead. As Eve walked outside, she saw Gwen run by her. She seemed to be in a hurry to go somewhere. Eve really had nothing better to do, so she decided to follow Gwen. She was falling behind the running girl, and she had no reason to follow her in the first place, so why try to catch up? Just as she was stopping to catch her breath, Gwen noticed her. “So you’ve decided to help huh Eve?” said Gwen smugly. “What are you talking about Gwen?” “Ann’s birthday, remember? It’s today and we’re having a surprise party and-“ “Oh right! Now I remember!” Eve blushed. “Sorry. I guess I just had a lot on my mind…Sure I’ll help! At the Inn right? I’ll be there soon.” “Ok. Thanks Eve.” She paused “Oh, and by the way, why were you following me…” But Eve had already run off. Please tell me what you think! It's my first fanfic and I don't know if it's good or not so please tell me! Thanks!

Chapter Two: The party
Eve hadn’t been living in Flower Bud Village that long. She had started working at her uncle’s bar in the beginning of summer, only two weeks ago. So this would be her first party. Eve wondered who would be there. She knew that Ann was very popular around the village, so everyone would probably be there. Eve thought of Dan. He was the first person she had met, and since then she had liked him. He seemed so nice and, he was always walking with her whenever they ran into each other, and once they had spent a night together looking out onto the ocean. Eve was sure Dan had the same feelings for her as she had for him. Eve walked in the door of the bar. “Uncle?” she shouted. “I’m in the back Eve.” her Uncle, Duke replied. Eve walked into his room. Duke was sitting at his desk writing something. “I’m going to help set up Ann’s surprise Birthday party. I probably won’t be back until night.” Eve said. “Oh is that today?” Duke asked. “I’ll see you there. Tell them I’m sorry I can’t help set up. I have…things to do…” Eve looked over his shoulder. It looked like her uncle was paying bills. “Okay. Se you there.” And she headed off.
After they were done setting up, Dan walked in. Eve caould feel her face turn red. “Hi everyone!” he said, smiling. “Ready to PARTAY?” Eve giggled. He was kind of cute when he acted like a big party boy. Just then Gwen shouted, “She’s Coming!” The lights went off, and everyone hid. “How predictable is this?” thought Eve. The door opened. “SURPRISE!!!!!” everyone shouted. Ann started giggling and everyone started hugging her.
Eve walked around the room looking for someone to talk to. She was really looking for Dan but the only time she had seen him was when he had been talking to Gwen. Since then there was no sign of him. Just then Eve heard giggling from behind a closet. It was a guy and a girl. Eve opened the door hoping she wouldn’t see anything she didn’t want to, when she gasped. ‘WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?!” she screamed. Behind the closet door Gwen and Dan were making out! “How could you? I thought you liked me!” Tears started running down Eve’s face, and she ran away. “Eve, wait!” shouted Dan, but she just ran out the door…

Chapter three: Returning pain Eve ran and ran until she got so tired she had to stop. When she sat down she had no idea where she was it was so dark. But she could hear running water, which probably meant she was by the river. Eve thought of Dan, and what he had done to her. But she had to wonder if he ever really liked her… She hadn’t really thought of that…Then she remembered holding hands with him by the pond… “How could he cheat on me?!” she cried. Eve was reminded of her past… She thought of her parents. All they ever did was fight. Every morning and night. One day Eve got sick of it, so she ran away. Eventually she got to a town not far from hers where her uncle lived. He let her stay with him but Made her return home a few months later. By then her parents had gotten divorced and her mother was with another man. Eve had lived there for another year until she turned 18 and left again. This time she lived with her grandfather, Terry. When she went back home for Christmas one year, her mother had left. And her father hadn’t been seen since the divorce. So Eve went back to live with her uncle. Soon afterward, he opened a bar, and now… Was now. She cried harder. But this time she cried for her parents, and her broken family. Eve cried until she thought that she didn’t have any more tears to cry. She lay down in the warm summer night. She figured it must be at least midnight. She rested her head on the grass, not wanting to go home. Slowly she fell asleep, actually grateful for a sunny day.

Chapter four: Blue
Blue rubbed his eyes tiredly. He checked his watch. It said it was 1:45 a.m. Blue couldn’t believe he had been partying so long. He slumped against a tree and lay his head back. That was when he heard a quiet snore. He could just see the outline of a girl’s face. When he squinted, he could tell it was Eve, the girl who worked at the bar, and who had run out of Ann’s party crying.
Blue thought about waking her up, but she looked so peaceful sleeping there. He smiled. It was a small smile, but it was a smile.
Blue yawned. He was so tired. He was one of the first people to leave Ann’s party. He hadn’t felt like hanging around with a bunch of drunks. But, of course, Blue never really felt like hanging out with anyone. Some people thought he was weird because of it, but he always ignored them.
Blue yawned again, bigger this time. He lay his head back and quickly fell asleep.

Chapter five: Jack
Eve felt a drop of water hit her face. She opened her eyes and looked around. She was outside! Then she remembered last night, the party… and Dan… Eve got up and it started raining harder. She turned around there was a boy sleeping by a tree!
“What the…?” Then she realized it was Blue, the kid who worked at Blue Sky Ranch. She had never really talked to him before, but she heard he wasn’t very talkative…
Eve decided to wake him up, because she didn’t want him to catch a cold. She gave him a tiny nudge.
“What?” he said, startled. “Sorry,” Eve said. “I just didn’t want you to catch a cold…” “Oh...umm thanks.” Blue replied, blushing. He pulled his hat over his face. Eve giggled. “I should be getting home…” she said, and headed off.
Eve stopped at Jack’s farm. He was the new farmer in town, and had arrived a month before Eve. She was looking at his wet crops, when he walked out of his house.
“Eve?” he said. “What are you doing out in the rain?” “Oh…I was just…taking a walk.” She replied, blushing. “I can walk you home…If you want.” Jack offered. Eve knew she couldn’t say no, so she nodded and they were off.
When Jack and Eve finally got to the bar, Eve was feeling very good. Jack had been talking to her about his farm animals, and Eve always liked that sort of topic. “So, here we are…” he said. “Hey, don’t you work here?” “Yes…” Eve replied. “I’ll see you tonight okay?” Jack said. “Umm...okay?” Eve said. She was surprised she’d be hanging out with a boy, the day after Dan had disappointed her. Could she really trust him?
Jack smiled. “Okay, great.” And he ran back to the farm…

I decided to post another chapter! I'm in a writing mood. Please tell mew if you like it! Chapter six: “Date”Eve patiently waited for Jack to arrive at the bar. When he finally walked in, he smiled at her. “Hi!” he said happily. “Hi…” Eve responded shyly. “So how’s it goin’?” Jack asked. Eve began. She told him about Dan, about her family, about last night. Eve spilled her heart out to some guy she barely even knew. But she needed someone to talk to… “…so now I don’t know who I can trust.” Eve concluded. Jack nodded slowly. Then Eve asked the question she had been wanting to ask all night. “C-can I trust you, Jack?” Jack blinked. “Well…It’s getting late… I should go now” “But…” Eve mumbled. How could he avoid her like that?! Then he turned around. “Hey, Eve? Well…the fireworks are coming up and…I was wondering…if...if you wanted to go with me?” “Me? Umm…Sure. I guess.” Eve replied. “Great! I’ll see you then!” he said, smiling. When he left, Eve ran to her room and cried. What had she done? Could she trust him? What if he was using her or something? That night, Eve cried herself to sleep.

Yay! Next chapter! ;D
Chapter seven: Fireworks
The fireworks came to soon Eve threw on her yellow and orange dress, and headed to the beach. When she got there, Jack was already waiting. He smiled when she got there. Eve decided she liked his smile. It was cute and somehow comforting.
She sat down next to him. Jack pointed to the sky “Look! The fireworks are about to start.” They watched beautiful sparks of color fly into the sky. When it was over Jack looked at Eve. Their eyes met. Then Eve blinked. “I’ll walk you home” said Jack. Eve nodded.
When they got to the bar, Jack stopped. ”Tonight was awesome…Do you…wanna go out with me?” Jack asked shyly. “Me?” Eve smiled. “I’d love too!” “Awesome!” he said. “I’ll meet you…tomorrow at the square!” When he left, Eve blinked. What had she done? Did she really like Jack? She had told him everything about herself…maybe she did like him. He was nice…Smiling, she walked inside.

Yay! I'm so happy! People like my story! Nice comments make me happy! ;D Chapter eight: Heartbroken Eve sat on a bench in the square. She was wearing her red and pink dress, and she had her curly blonde hair down. She waited until six-thirty, when she heard people laughing. It was a boy and girl. Eve looked up. It was Jack and Ann! They were holding hands, and Ann was laughing at something Jack had said. Eve was seriously mad now. “You cheated on me?!” she screamed at Jack. “What? Eve? What are you doing here…tonight?” Eve slapped him in the face. “You asked me out TONIGHT you jerk! I can’t believe you would just forget about me and go out with Ann!” Eve was holding back tears. She ran off. She could hear Jack yelling “Eve wait!” and then she heard Ann screaming at him. Eve ran as fast as she could. She didn’t know where she was going, she just kept running. Finally, she got tired and sat down. She looked at her surroundings. She was by the river she had been at the day Dan had ‘cheated’ on her. She gave a loud sob when she thought of Dan. That was two boys in one month that had broken her heart. Did no one care about her?! Was she just ‘Eve, that girl who people like to hurt?’ Eve sighed. How could this have happened? How could she have trusted Jack? How could she trust anyone in this awful world?! Eve looked into the river. She liked watching the fish swim back and forth. They didn’t have anything to worry about. And then one day, some person would go fishing and that one, carefree fish, would lose it’s life. How sad. Eve decided she wouldn’t go home tonight. It was her day off, so she wouldn’t be needed at the bar…or anywhere else. Didn’t anyone care about her? Eve shook her head. “No. No one cares about me now.”
