I'm sorryif this FanFiction turns out horrible, I have never written one before, so this is a risk for me. But please be supportive, I will try my best. Chapter 1- *At age 18, and I am still alone...* Claire thought to herself on another lonely night in her apartment. *I should leave, find happiness, joy, and love...I wish I already had all of that...* She shuffled through the newspaper, scanning through pictures of houses for sale. She spied a small ad recalling some farm on the small, scenic town of Mineral Town. *Perfect.* Claire reached for the phone and dialed the number on the paper. "Y-y-yes?" a voice answered. "Umm, is this the mayor of...Mineral Town?" Claire asked. "Ahem..Why indeed it is. Are you calling about the shabby..ahem..I mean beautiful farm?" he asked. "Yeah, I am..." "Okay then, when will you be here?" "Is tomorrow okay?" Claire asked. "Yes, you'll need to get on the ferry though. It is the only source of transportation here." Mayor replied. "Fine. That will do." They both said their good-byes and hung up the phone. The next morning, Claire shoved her belongings into a few cardboard boxes, and took a bus to the ferry. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okey dokey. Here we go...
Chapter 2-
Claire awoke to a toot from the ferry. A young man, who looked a little older than her stepped into the room.
"Excuse me, ma'am, everyone is getting off here, it's the only stop."
Claire nodded and picked up her boxes.
"Moving?" The man asked.
"Yeah, to the farm," She answered.
"Oh, so you'll be livin' in the town. Cool, my friend! Oh yeah, the name's Zack, by the way. I collect all your shippings."
Claire nodded and smiled. She was still tired from her long sleep on the ferry.
"Well, you should head to the farm. Just take a left when you get to the square, and I'm sure you'll find your way from there."
"Okay, thank you," "No problem. See ya." *********************************************************************
Claire flashed a smile and headed to the farm.
She trudged onto the farmland, as a cute brown puppy greeted her.
"Hey lil' guy!"
"Hello. Are you a tourist?"
Claire quickly whipped herself around and shook her head.
"Oh, your the new farmer?" The plump man in the red coat asked. Claire nodded.
He gave a smile and said, " Ha ha ha ha ha! You've been tricked! It used to be a gorgeous farm, but not anymore since th owner passed away. As you can see, no one's been taking care of it."
Claire showed a shocked look.
"Not many people want to work on the farm now. They decided to make the advertisement sound more attractive. Every now and then, people who have seen the ad come here....Just like yourself." He continued,
"But as soon as they see the farm, they get disappointed and leave...Just like that. It's been a while since the last one came, though... I see. You believed that cheesey advertisment. Ha ha ha ha ha!"
Claire got angry at this remark and reaveled her hammer.
"Ow ow ow...ouch. Okay, okay, sorry. Please stop hitting me!" The obese man said. "...I see, you quit your job and moved out of your apartment...That's too bad..."
Calire nodded as the man continued.
"Hey, why don't you just try and run the farm? The house is liveable, and actually pretty nice. If you work hard, I think you'll be happy here. As the mayor of this town, I will help you as much as I can." He said.
"Alright! I'm going to make this farm the best farm in the world!" Claire stated as the mayor left. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 3-
Claire woke to the sounds of birds chirping and the little puppy barking. For a moment, she didn't know where she was. *I'm at the farm...* she thought *MY farm*
She quickly got up to explore her land. There was a small round table in the middle of the samll, one-room house. Two soft yellow cushions acted as chairs. She ate breakfast, and turned to the television.
"This is tomorrow's forcast! It will be a nice, warm spring day." Claire ignored the woman and flipped the channel. "Spring 2. Events this seas-" Claire switched the channel "Life on the Farm, advanced. Hey big si-" She gave up. Claire was never really the "TV person"
She walked silently out the door. Mayor Thomas stood at her doorstep. "I know you are new to farming...Can I help you with anything?" "Nope, no need for that now, thanks," she replied Mayor nodded and left. Then Zack came running in. "Hey there! I came to explain shipping!" He said loudly. Claire just nodded and listened. She waved him goodbye, and he left.
The little brown puppy she had seen yesterday galloped towards her. Claire scooped him up in her warm, loving arms and gave him a pat. "Well, lil' guy, guess you're mine!" She said as she gave a big grin. "I'll name ya Baily...but I gatta go, buddy!"
She set down the cute puppy and ran off her farm. *********************************************************************
She walked onto the first street she saw. She took a look at the first sign she spotted.
Saibara the Blacksmith Open 10 AM - 4 PM Closed Thursdays
It wasn't quite ten yet, so she waited. About an hour later, a man who looked her age, seemed to be going down the street. Claire walked up to him.
"You're the new owner of the farm? Claire? I'm Rick. I live at the Poultry Farm with my mom and my sister, Popuri. Nice to meet you," he said, then ran to where he was going.
Claire walked into Saibara's Blacksmith. She gingerly walked up to the man with the blue cap that also looked her age. "I don't think I've seen you around here before. Oh, you're at the farm, are you? Welcome to the boonies. The name's Gray," he introduced shyly.
Claire ran up to the old man she assumed was Saibara, to see how he would welcome her. "I've never seen you around here before. You moved into that farm? It's tough to run a farm all by yourself. I wish you luck. Well, my name is Saibara. Nice to meet you."
Claire decided to meet the other people in the town... -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chapter 4-
Claire rushed into the building Rick had said where he lived. A woman with light pink hair greeted her, and told Claire about her sickness, and welcomed her. A younger version of Lillia, Rick's mother walked down the stairs. She looked a little younger than Claire. "Hey! Are you new?" she asked
Claire nodded and replied, "Yeah, I'm the new farm owner." "Oh, awesome! I guess I'll be seeing you around then! Oh, my name is Popuri." Claire smiled, thanked the girls, and walked off the proporty, to the right. ********************************************************************* Soon, Claire had met another handful of people on two more streets, some kind, and some pushy. A lot of people wished her luck on her farm, and Claire hoped the luck would be handy. She took Zack's advice and went to collect some grasses on Mineral Beach to sell.
After collecting things for the shipping bin, she went and visited a carpender by the name of Gotz, who lived in the woods behind her house. "Hey there, can I help you? You look new," Gotz said in his deep voice. "Umm.. yeah, I am new. I run the farm." "Oh, cool. Well come here if you need any lumber or extensions." "Okey dokey!" *********************************************************************
Caire stopped by the bar to chat with people, hoping some of them would be her age. She cautiosly stepped in the inn, scanning the room for farmiliar faces. There were lots. Karen, the supermarket girl, Rick, the chicken guy, oh, and Ann, she seemed nice. Claire scooted her way up to Ann, waving to Karen and Rick on her way. "Hey there, girly!" Ann said in her cheerful, Jersy accent. "Hey," Claire replied. "Wanna drink? We got wine, beer, anything you need." Ann offered. "Okay, 1 beer," she replied, and walked over to Karen and Rick.
"Heyyyyyy budddddyyy!!! Howww yaa dooiin''?? Wannaaa sippp?" Karen asked, it was obious she was drunk. "Hi Karen, one too many beers?" Claire asked Rick with a chuckle. Karen gave a big grin and Rick nodded and sighed.
"Here you go, Claire," Ann said as she placed a cold beer in front of her. "Thanks" "Yupp, no problem, girly!"
Claire gulped down the beer, helped Rick drag Karen home, an set off to the farm. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
It was the first day of Summer, and Claire was excited for beach day. Even though she couldn't enter Baily, she wanted to see the other pups.
Claire had gotten pretty far in her farm life so far. She became good friends with Ann, Rick, and Karen, and had gotten 2 chickens.
Claire changed into her favorite outfit, and ran out the door. She shuffled her way to the beach, and started chatting to people. Soon Popuri ran up to Claire... "There he is! He's here! He's here! YAY!!" Popuri squealed. "Who? Where?" Claire asked, confused.
"Over there, KAI!!!" Popuri ran up to the young man in the purple bandana. She threw her arms around the startled crush.
After beach day was over, Claire ran home to get to bed, anyway, tomorrow was a new day... *********************************************************************
Claire got up, ate breakfast, dressed, and headed out the door to do her daily chores. After feeding and watering, she set of to the hot springs. She had bought a bathing kit from the merchant "Won" and decided to put it to use.
When she got up there, luckily, the spring was empty. She quickly undressed and jumped in the spring, hoping no one would see her naked.
After her refreshing bath, she went home, ate dinner, and set off for the bar. ********************************************************************* "Heyyy lovvveyyy!!" Karen greeted her, "Meetttt myy bessst bud Kaiii.." The young man with the purple bandana stood up with a chuckle and wrapped his arm around Claire's waist. He looked at her blue-grey eyes and soft blonde hair, then asked, "Can I buy this beautiful woman a drink?" Claire smiled at the offer, to say yes. Karen and Ann watched in awe. "2 beers please, Annie." Kai ordered, revealing a grin. "Sure thing Kai!" Ann replied, winking.
An hour passed, and Claire, Kai, Karen,Ann, and Rick were still giggling and drinking together. "So, you and Popuri are a couple?" asked Claire "Well, she acts too young..." Kai trailed off Rick snickered at the thought, in agreement -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I like it! Maybe if you had some arguments or something random. If you read the first few chapters of The Cow Story, you can see all writer's are shaky in the beginning. (I consider myself to be a writer, even though I'm not a professional yet. The operative word being yet. )
